After mastering a long string of programming languages, frameworks, and tools, he has become a highly knowledgable advocate of development best practices. He is also social about his passion, having participated in and given presentations to a large handful of local user groups, and contributed to and founded several Open Source projects throughout his career. He is the Pragmatic Programmer incarnate.

Charissa Klassen - Artist and UI Designer
Art has been my passion for as long as I can remember. And yes, I was the strange child drawing in the corner, always doodling and thinking about interesting things such as fairies and dragons. Over the years, I developed a very intense perseverance and drive with my art, to where I would sit down before a project and say to myself, "This is going to be finished even if it kills me!" This drive has increased my passion for art to the point where I'm constantly trying to outdo my previous work while improving in skill and technique. I'm always wanting to do more with greater efficiency while always trying new things and in new ways.
